What does the bat abatement process involve & how much is it going to cost?

When excluding bats the goal is to allow the bats to safely leave on their own but prevent them from returning.

The first step in non-lethal bat abatement is to locate the areas where the bats are entering. Common areas among other points of the home include dormers, soffit pockets, valley flashing, ridge cap venting, chimneys, around air conditioning units, facia, gable vents, and or turbine attic vents. Once these areas are inspected a one way door is installed in the primary entry points. These doors allow the bats to exit without being harmed but prevent them from re-entering the property. After addressing the primary points - a further inspection is done to address any other areas that may allow the bats to enter. These areas are sealed with a high-grade sealant and areas with loose flashing or trim material are re-secured and if necessary replaced. This is important because as the primary entry points are sealed - bats will search for other areas to re-enter the dwelling. After all access points have been property addressed - the property should be soon be bat free.

As far as pricing goes, homes & commercial buildings vary in shape, size, and condition - because of this it is difficult to give an accurate estimate before inspecting the building in question. Once the property is evauluated throughly an accurate estimate can be provided.
